Kryder Salon Groomers
Heather Brown
Grooming Manager
Hello! Im Heather and have been the groomer here at Kryder now for the last couple years. I would like to tell you a little about myself and how I started my grooming career. I started at a local corp store in 1999. I started out as a bather and learning all the basics of grooming. In 2001, I attended Paragon School of Pet Grooming. Through the years, I have worked at many local groom shops, as well as, some local vet clinics which have expanded my knowledge on many things. I am CPR certified and have partially completed my master’s certification (certified non-sporting group groomer). I have competed in grooming competitions which I am proud to say that I took 2nd place at pet fair in Atlanta a couple years ago. Often I am considered a
doodle specialist. Along with joining the competition world, I have taken classes/seminars on skin and coat, dog food health, hand stripping, business of grooming management and “humanity before vanity” decision making. I also am difficult dog certified and an enrichment stylist. Connecting with my clients with complete honesty and trust, has created great relationships within my career. Although I groom all breeds, I specialize in high maintenance breeds and high anxiety/scared/behavioral challenging pets. Throughout the couple years here at Kryder, the amount of support and trust I have received from everyone has been absolutely heart warming and rewarding. I look forward to continue to grow here at Kryder and help make all your poochies look amazing!

Kaylee Evans
Groomer
I was born and raised in Southern California and ever since I was a little girl I have always loved mammals, reptiles, insects, and rodents. I grew up with all sizes of animals, from rodent size to horse size! I tried many things when I was younger to try to find something that I love that included animals. I used to barrel race and ride horses for many years and still to this day. I would always help my family out with washing their pets. I always knew I wanted to work with animals. Back in 2015, unfortunately, we had a house fire losing all of our animals, I was very devastated. I had the very first dog that I got when I was 5 years old as a Christmas present. Her name was Abbie and she was a blue tic beagle. My love for animals grew even bigger when the house fire happened I knew I wanted to work with dogs, after a couple of months after the house fire we got two German Shepards from our local animal shelter back in California their names are Daisy and Phoenix I knew I want to do something with them so we put them in Schutzhund train. Schutzhund is German for "protection dog". It is a dog sport that tests a dog's tracking, obedience, and protection skills. We did that for a little over a year and I just knew I wanted to do more with dogs! So my mom and I ended up fostering six three-week-old black lab puppies with no mother. They were dumped outside of the animal shelter in a cardboard box. It was not easy, but I took the challenge. I just graduated from high school so I was THE ONE that was in charge of these little babies which I didn't mind. My mom would tell me to not get attached and of course, I got attached to one of them. Her name was Lacey. Five weeks came around the corner quickly and it was time for them to go to their new homes I made sure Lacey was my dog. So now I have Daisy, Phoniex, and lacey are my babies that filled the holes in my heart from the house fire. I do have two cats as well, named Icelynn and Piper, and a bearded dragon named Edgar. In 2018, I was told we were leaving California and but little did I know that moving to Indiana would be my ticket to the best industry (well in my books anyway) dog grooming. I started at a local corp business in 2019 and worked my way into the grooming salon. I wanted to expand my career, I wanted to start being able to go to dog grooming competitions and seminars to learn more. I left the corporate world and went to a local grooming salon and that is how I met Heather! I started my official grooming training with Heather. I did end up moving to a new salon but never losing friendship with Heather. Just about two years later, here I am working at Kyder Kritter Salon with Heather again. I can't express how happy I am to work here and meet every one of you, as well as, start a new journey to my career!
